davidcyclebackI've seen many football teams fire a .500 coaches only discover he was better than anyone else they could get. I'd call this board a .500 board. It has its occasional issues and error messages, but generally works. If the next board is a Tom Landry, of even a Don Coryell, then go for it. Just realize the celebrated new coach sometime turns out to be a Don Morton (former 1980s Wisconsin Badgers coach who now work for a computer company in Fargo-- say no more). After just a few years of their new hire, the Badgers longed for the days of .500 ball. Though, to end to the story on a significantly positive note, the Badgers' replacement for Morton was a Notre Dame assistant coach named Barry Alvarez. Twenty years after that hire, Alvarez is universally ranked as the greatest coach in school history and there's a bronze statue of him in front of the stadium.
