JoannI like this forum because it it so simple. I do like having all threads on the front page so you can browse everything at a glance - easier than opening categories for quick visits. So I appreciate that Leon will keep that open format.
On the other hand, I don't like the scan-bomb going off after one week, and sometimes larger scan file allowances would be handy too.
As far as preserving material from this forum, I think a key consideration is searchability after any move. Much as we value the history here, without searchability it's a pile of uncollated (and uncollatable) threads. If no search, best might be to leave it here with a link.
I too would be happy to help with any simple (meaning within my techie limits) cut and paste kinds of things to help transfer archives. Although ... hahahaha count on me for maybe one an hour. I can't imagine I could cut and paste a whole lot without stopping and reading and getting all caught up in our history of threads.
