ffloodThere are other points about this card. Almost all Curt Teich postcards have distinctive code numbers that can be used to date the card; this one does not. Teich produced very few sepia postcards. I have seen a version of this card that is black and white rather than sepia and indicates manufacture by Colourpicture of Boston and distribution by Blair Cedar & Novelty Works of Camdenton, Missouri. I can't think of many images that show up on both a Teich and a Colourpicture postcard, the two companies being competitors. Another puzzler is why a postcard of Yankee Stadium would be distributed in Oklahoma or Missouri; postcard distribution was generally strictly geographic.
The image of Yankee Stadium used on these postcards, but without Babe Ruth, does appear on a postcard published in the mid-1920's that looks like a black and white photo colored with blue and green. That card is numbered N.Y. 440 and does not credit any publisher or distributor.
