For the record, I am one of those who thinks FDR extended the Great Depression. Much like Obama inherited the situation from Bush (and will make it infinitely worse), FDR was handed the Depression baton from Herbert Hoover (and made it worse through unConstitutional governmental interference with the free market). There are a number of good books currently available on the subject. The Forgotten Man by Amity Schlaes, and New Deal or Raw Deal by Burton W. Folsom, Jr. are two which deal indepth with the subject. I recommend them both.

As for Senator Bunning, he must be doing something right if he's being attacked (or generally hated) by at least 2/3 of the politicians. He has taken some unpopular stands (especially the GM bailout) but I'll bet most of those who respect the Constitution are silently applauding him.
