My earliest (and inirradicable) memory of Bunning is from 1968, when I was a young boy eagerly going out to Forbes Field to see the Pirates' new ace. Well, it turned out that in the Year of the Pitcher he was the only major league pitcher who had a terrible year. 4 and 14, if I recall.
