The Mays you are referring to had a stain on the front of the card
that could barely be seen in the scan. It also had wax on the reverse.
It was a nice looking 4, better then some 5's for that matter.
The buyer here is not at fault IMO, the seller is. Not everyone
sees a card the same way from a scan. Yes the buyer should ask questions.
Does not mean the seller will be forthcoming. Did the seller of the Mays
inform Marshall about the stain?
I would not leave any feedback nor would I hurt the seller's DSR's either.
