The only problem with not allowing proven PED users stats to count in the MLB records books is that it only addresses those that were caught. Those that weren't caught will get away with it.
Who would make a good baseball commissioner today? What about Bernie Madoff?
One more thing, everybody wants to blame Selig for this whole thing. What about the players unions? What about the owners? I think it would be hard to convince people that the unions and owners had no knowledge of what was going on. Sure, Selig was the commissioner but how many times have you heard in the news that a player or owner called Selig and expressed their concern about the "possible" use of PEDs by MLB players?
