Nobody took shot at Bill Goodwin. His Lajoie is doing just fine. I believe the shot was aimed in the general direction of SCP. Their history, including dealings with a board member here, will definitely reduce bidders and therefore final prices.

When they had their problem with Ryan C. last year, we all said it was short sighted for an auction house to work that way. You're seeing some of the fruits of that now. Obviously, there are some people who will not bid with them.

There is no other rational explanation for a higher graded, nicer looking, prominent card, to sell for so much less.
