Rich Klein I was staying home today due to the mediocre weather in the DFW area and went to the Beckett site to see the lead story was that Panini would be the sole card manufacturer for basketball cards when the Topps and Upper Deck contracts expired.
This is, frankly, as important as a news item which has hit since Fleer's bankruptcy and Donruss leaving baseball in 2005.
So, to make this less OT and somewhat interesting for the pre-war crowd; please respond with what you think (or thought) was the most interesting of these "news-type" developements for the CDV/Card era of the 1860's-1947. Or a type of creation; i.e. Bubble Gum in packs, etc.
