Frank WakefieldBill,
I am not a supporter of shilling, lying, taking someone's identity, taking charity under false pretenses... or other similar stuff.
But even if someone did all of those things, if such a scoundrel bought a PSA graded card relying on the identification and grading, and then that grading proved to be incorrect, then I'd think that scoundrel would be entitled to recourse with PSA to rectify things.
If we apply a 'scoundrel test' to everyone who posts, to determine whether they've lived a perfect life or if they've ever fallen short of that, then I'd fail that test and I'd have to quit posting here. I think we'd lose a few others, too.
I don't know this Brian guy, don't recall encountering him anywhere. But what PSA certified that he was buying wasn't true. If PSA is going to be professional and trustworthy, they can't be like the Brian you described, they needed to step up and do the right thing. Evidently they did. Good for them. And good for Brian, whether he's a scoundrel or not.
