John K Pedroia is a very unique player. He is an amazing bad ball hitter, esp. high and inside. How he gets the bat to square up on the ball up there "baffles science" as WC Fields used to say. His motor revs as high as anyone in baseball (Youk is much in the same mold).
Manny, on the other hand. Interesting story on ESPN.com a few days ago by Pedro Gomez on Manny. Seems that when Manny was on his way to get an MRI on his "ailing" knee, he forgot which knee was sore. The club who signs him should consider a series of one year deals.
