Todd Schultzthe images were widely shared, and although Mendelsohn used about two dozen shots found in Cracker Jack, Cracker Jack itself used several that were first used in The Sporting News Supplements a few years before that.
Mendelsohn deserves credit for using "new" photos in his 1917-1920 m101-6 set. Some of these were "borrowed" a full ten years later by the ice cream sets and w502. Here are two:
