AnonymousSteve, as an eBay seller I do understand that maybe you are feeling personally slighted. The reality is that we, as sellers through e-commerce, we cannot, pick and chose buyers; and thus we don't control their feelings and actions. However, we still need to follow the rules of our venues. If sellers disregard what are common and generally understood rules of said venues then anarchy ensues, and eventually said venue will be worthless to all involved and thus will cease to exist for all involved.
Though eBay may seem like a great corporate giant, it could easily turn against any 'collectible' types of sales. Many of us do feel as if they have been going that route for the last few years.
I understand from your posts that you consider yourself a 'collector' rather than an actual seller; but you do sell, and thus have to except the common guidelines that even full time sellers have to deal with.
Steve; I don't know either of you guys, but I do think you need to do the right thing, and refund Mark's money.
