I don't think I would try goo-gone, it might bleed through the card and eat the signature. If the signature is ink, I would think dabbing some water on there would work best, and probably not affect the signature.

I'd be nervous!

Edited to add: I had a T206 Cobb with the name "Carl" written in fountain ink and I tried to get it off with a q-tip and water but nothing happened to the name.
