James FeaginJim,
I think there are two kinds of voters, one of which votes only for their interests in mind and another who votes what they feel is best for their community, state or country. I tend to fall in the second category. As a citizen, James Feagin's Mormonism (please forgive the third person reference) will play a part, but not dictate what or whom I vote for. I tend to vote for what I think will be best for the greater good. However, on the opposite end I think that total, 100% complete secularism with an "anything goes, you must condone and accept how I am or you're a bigot" attitude is also dangerous. What it comes down to for me is that there doesn't seem to be too many people on either side of the equation who are willing to have a reasonable discourse.
