...is subjective. Grading is objective. Grading is most important for those eye-popping cards with hairline creases and minor spots of paper loss or glue. That is what makes SGC so valuable.

Grading is not about framing the beauty of a card within the confines of a 10-point scale. It is about objectively identifying faults in a card that the casual observer (or internet purchaser) would miss.
