Yes, I would. Yes I have.
If the price is affordable, and it has really strong eye appeal. And the unaltered authentic card in a similarly presentable condition is generally priced out of my affordability range, I jump at it.

examples:
I've bought aT206 Keeler w/bat SGC AUTH that looks like an SGC92 for $128, which is far more affordable than the potentially more appropriate $1,280.

I've also bought a SGC AUTH 1953 Bowman Campanella that looks mint for $40.

very happy with both.
