That way the next time a T206 "Wagner, Boston" comes across their desk they can have a quick reference guide available to determine if the player depicted is Heinie or Honus.
You have to wonder why the T207 makers thought it was necessary to change the size of the "C" on the Livingston card. This was not a case of a mispelled name, a team change, or a misidentified player, all of which produced changes midway through the production runs of various issues.
