The season was scheduled to end on Sept 28th.

And those glorious Tigers were still at work on the field
on Sept 29 !!!!

A real die-nasty.


So what is the payroll/standing results?? The Yankees had the
largest payroll, they're not in the playoffs. The Tigers had
the next largest payroll and they're out. Anyone know who was
third and fourth? And the payroll ranks for the teams that made the playoffs?
