Anthony N.It was quieter this morning than yesterday, complete opposite of the usual crowd. But the autograph guests were fewer and smaller names (all basketball, and only 3 of them) so that might account for the overall crowd.
I didn't find any cards I was looking for at the National, so I didn't expect anything here and wasn't disappointed. Seemed to be a pretty steady stream of submissions at SGC, occasional at Beckett at the other end, and a bit sparse at Global. PSA wasn't there at all.
No Bill McAvoy, Marty Pritchard or Brian and Bob Marcy this time round, so that made things a lot thinner than usual. I think doing the show over labor day was a bit of a mistake, but I don't think shows in general are what they were just a few years ago. Seems like they are often better suited for dropping off submissions, consignments (Mark T. from Mastro was there) and picking up supplies than for actually buying cards.
