Adam BaxterAs many of you may remember back in June there was a series of severe floods in the midwest. One of the areas hardest hit was Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Former Negro Leagues player Art Pennington (1940-46, 1950 Chicago American Giants, 1946 Pittsbugh Crawfords, as well as Mexican league, PCL, etc.) is a resident of Cedar Rapids and like many of his neighbors, he lost everything he owned during the flood. This included all of the irreplacable memorabila that he acquired over the course of his baseball career. Mr. Pennington has a webpage set up for fans on Myspace.com.
