Rich Klein That pedigreed cards will be at a premium because of the history of the hobby. We're still maturing as a hobby/business and as such, the notation of pedigree is not quite the same as it is in the coin buisness.
Although some people may not or may not have agreed with the naming of the owners of the Wagners listed in the recent auction at the National; there is now little doubt that those better cards with the pedigree is actually quite important for the future and in that sense, the history of the better examples served some good. Those cards, along with the one sold to John Rogers, now all have pedigrees for the future and the short, medium and long-term values of those cards I think are now better than they were before the auction.
