D. BerginSorry, but as a seller this almost sounds like reverse shilling to me.............if there is such a thing. You would be colluding to lower realized prices based on your pool of bidders.
Maybe I'm missing something. It may be legal, ethical, whatever but it smells funny to me.
It's one thing for a few guys who know each other to let the others know which lots they're interested in. It's another to do it among a large pool of bidders who are unrelated outside of using the same sniping program.
It could also encourage people to throw higher then normal bids in to cancel out competitive bids if they know a fellow collector is using the same program.
