Default Bill Bengen Inducted into Hall of Fame

...and I'll say it again:

Anyone who collects graded cards with an expectation that the grading company or grades themselves will mean the same thing in 5, 10, 15 or more years down the road should consider broadening their perspective. Grading companies, or at least their reputations, may come and go; cards may be added to populations or a 5 today may not be a 5 tomorrow.

For a collection to last the test of time, it should have an appeal that transcends a particular grading company or grade assigned to it. It is for this reason, among others, that I think paying money to compete in a set registry of any grading company reflects a short-term perspective on one's own collection.
