As a career salesperson I agree with you. I don't like to be "sold" and I can smell it 2 miles away. Give me the facts and let me make my own mind up. Giving misleading facts, as this seller does (imo) only drives me away.

Your blurb about hype reminds me of the definition of the word "tact" that I have heard before.

"Tact" is calling some one an a**hole and having them thank you for it.....
