Eric BrehmI'm with you. I collect T206 HOFers in the EX to EX-MT range. I immediately reject about 80% of what I see for sale in this grade range for mostly the same reasons you mentioned -- off-center, skinny borders that make the card look trimmed, print defects, toning or staining. Good eye appeal to me means fat even borders, and decent image quality. A little honest corner wear doesn't bother me at all; in fact to me it gives the card a positive feeling of authenticity for its age. I see T206 sets on the PSA registry, with a much higher Grade Point Average than mine, that have PSA 7's and 8's with lousy centering that I would not have any interest whatsoever in owning.
