Dan, I detect a little sarcasm about grading. I'll buy graded cards if it's something I want but I won't pay a premium for it just because the card is graded high. I base my buying offer strictly on how I view the card. There's so many graded cards on the market that it's hard to avoid buying them. I keep my sets in albums and if I buy a card for my set that happens to be graded, I crack it out of the holder and put it in the album.
