Steve....that's a great story....700+..T206's, an amazing deal. You definitely won out on that deal, although back then it was
considered a "wash".
This was somewhat typical of the "wheeling-dealing" during the early to mid-1980's....as, 1950's and '60s cards were deemed
more valuable than early 20th Century T-cards. Heck, in 1982, you could trade a Pete Rose rookie for a dozen T206 Cobb's.
Those were really great times in this hobby, and most present day collectors find such stories unbelievable and bordering on
the surreal.
