If it is merely an investment, for that kind of money I would buy a T206 Plank, Cobb/Cobb back, E90-1 Joe Jackson, or other high demand rarities. I would either take the plunge with one of those, or buy 3-5 cards in the 10-15k range. I don't think most sets are the best bet as investments for the short term (2 years), though there are exceptions.
