As Wonka said above, we all draw lines in the sand when we collect what we collect. The fact that I am for removing glue residue and erasing pencil marks makes me less conservative than those that find such practices as unpermissible alterations. My line in the sand has to do with adding paper, color and/or substance to a card. But I agree, as long as the card stays in the PSA holder, there should not be any fraud. To me, the major concern is what you referenced -- such a card in the wrong hands has the ability to do some major damage. Caveat emptor.
