William Bendix did of course have a somewhat tenuous baseball connection, starring as George Herman Ruth in "The Babe Ruth Story"



Other than that, I can add nothing to this thread which hasn't already been penned in a manner for more intelligent than I could muster; however, I would also subscribe if wonka could provide a wonka-image each issue.
