davidcyclebackThere was a famous case of a crow that had a nest in a barn, and wouldn't go in into the barn if it knew people where in there. To test the crow's ability to count, a scientist had people go in the barn, then later leave. The crow could tell when all the people had left. The key is the people entered and left in both different numbers and combinations (6 enter and leave, 8 enter and leave, leave one at a time, leave in in pairs and threes). I don't remember what was the number, but the scientist figured out what number this particular crow could count to.
