In the pre-war arena I've always had an affinity for the midgrade (Vg to Ex), it just seemed like the logical selection for 80+ year old specimens. While I have the means to go after high grade, I've always stuck to the midgrade...there's something not natural about the super high grades, while there are some that exist, the true examples are rare.

I guess my instinct has protected me to some extent to this ugly side of the hobby.
