The fakes have been all over ebay for the last few months. They are basically killing the value of the authentic cards (similar to the Fro-Joys).

Both of these sets are actually rare. Lipset estimated there were less than 50 of the GHRuth Candy cards out there (Vol 2 Encyclopedia of Baseball cards, 1984). I think there are more, but not a whole lot more.
