Seth B.I just picked up my first T-Unc Tango Egg card: Bescher, of course, but it's in super nice condition. It's really cool seeing a baseball card with an egg advertisement on the back! I just need two bread cards to stack it between, and I've got a breakfast sandwich.
I read the previous thread about Tangos, but I thought I would start a new thread on these cards. I have two questions for experts out there:
1. How where these cards distributed? Has anyone ever seen a Tango Egg carton (were there even cartons in 1916?), or were they possibly mail-in redemptions?
2. Why are Jennings and Bescher the most commonly found? Any ideas on this? Was the family that had the big find fans of the two players?
