Good point guys and yes, max bids placed as late as 1:29 EST (or anytime earlier) are NEVER subject to an additional premium.

Dan, the problem with a dead cutoff is that the auction will only get very active for 30 minutes as everyone always wants to be the last bidder!

We did try this on our last auction (non-cards) and it seemed to work well. It is certainly not set in stone and we are flexible if a better option presents itself for tweaking...
