I would check out www.oldcardboard.com - they have examples of many sets listed on their site.

As for removal and preservation of the cards, they may be able to be soaked off but would like to see some scans of how they are currently attached to be sure. I was able to get all of these cards off without any damage and most graded well:



Im sure there are also posts on the topic of removing cards from scrap books if you do a search.
