Default Good Carma for Alfred G. Richter

Posted By: JimB

From the Oxford Compact English Dictionary:

"karma
/kaarm/

• noun (in Hinduism and Buddhism) the sum of a person’s actions in this and previous states of existence, viewed as affecting their future fate.

— DERIVATIVES karmic adjective.

— ORIGIN Sanskrit, action, effect, fate."

Technically the definition is not completely accurate for Hindu or Buddhist traditions (which have different definitions and doctrinal uses for the term), but it is closer than most pop culture usages (e.g. "parking karma")
