Hi Rob,

Very interesting. The player identifiication box looks very similar between the two supplements. Perhaps he had more than one supplement issued by the Sporting News? I'm guessing someone put the date on the back after seeing the date listed in a catalog.

I'm curious as to whether the bottom supplement might be trimmed? If so, the name of the company might have been lost with the alteration.

The Boston Post and Boston Herald also released supplements that look quite similar to the M101-2s as well.
