davidcyclebackThere's no good reason for such a busy background when trying to sell a baseball card. Often such a background is used to prevent the viewer from getting a clean look at the card. When the seller thinks the card is as advertised, he wants bidders to get a good look, not trigger flashbacks.
It's also good to be wary of cards that look as if boiled in oil, but with edges and corners sharp enough to shave a peach.
