Eric BrehmNice idea for a thread.
I still have a raw 1966 Topps set that I assembled when I was 9 years old, mostly by buying them at the grocery store and trading with my friends, although I had to order the 7th Series 'high numbers' from Card Collectors Company in New York since these never appeared in our local stores.
Since I re-entered the hobby about a year and a half ago, I have accumulated a collection of about 300 graded pre-war cards (mostly T206 and 1933 Goudey), and so far the only cards I have sold have been ones that I replaced with examples I liked better (not all of which were 'upgrades'). I have also during that time bought about 75 graded post-war cards, about half of which I have either already sold or plan to sell because I changed my mind about what I wanted to collect.
