Yes...I've tested three company holders:

They have been frozen, thawed, frozen then rapidly thawed, microwaved, chemical(s) dip, boiled, baked on low heat, dry iced, hot aired and hot water. I may be missing some other tests?

Here is a sample of what I found and my opinions:

- Most of the PSA holders were water resistant...in boiling water.
- SGC is the easiest to open (finger nails) with the least amount of frosting, PSA is second.
- The new Global holders are not water proof but are nearly impossible to crack without breaking the plastic. I tested about 10 of them.
- All would freeze but the cards were not damaged.
- SGC holders are not water resistant...as you found out.
- Boiling water and microwaves eventually melt all of them.
