The V. O. Hammon postcard example on the Old Cardboard website at http://localhost/bbcards/pc/hammon/hammon.asp?cardsetID=1109 includes the label "Pennant Winners 1907." It was mailed October 9, 1907, the opening day of the 1907 World Series. The cubs played their final season game on October 7, just two days earlier, although they had cinched the National League pennant somewhat earlier.

From the above thread, it is apparent that the postcards were issued in 1906 then "updated" and reissued again before the 1907 World Series. Other Hammon cards are reported to have been dated as late as 1909.
