Rhys(500) Letters from the estate of Robert G. "Bob" Allen dating from 1888-91. About 250 are love letters sent to him by his girlfriend while he was with the 1890-91 Phillies and about 250 are letters and telegrams from ballclubs and managers and players, several of whome are in the Old Judge set. Easily the most exciting collection I have ever purchased.
