Jerry Hrechka On Father's Day 1964 Jim Bunning pitched a perfect game.It was the first game of a double header at Shea Stadium. Rick Wise had the first start of his major league career in the second game. I remember the first few innings he pitched were perfect - I was watching on TV and both my father & I were going nuts.
The Phillies later traded Rick Wise for Steve Carlton.
