I'm not buying that auctions are the only way to define a market price. Too much emotion gets involved and that could either help or in some auctioneers case hurt the final hammer.

Here we have a professional making a price and the collectors will decide if now is the time for $10K PSA 8 commons.

I don't have a horse in this race, but I will be watching these results. The board was a far more interesting read today due to these high profile auctions being outed.

Someone should ask the seller if he would refund if they were submitted to another respected authority and their opinion differed from PSA's opinion.
