Regarding the Mets:
They have become my local interest since moving out East from Chicago, because I am a NL guy.
BUT!!!
I am satisfied that they lost, and here's why:
What would it mean to you as a baseball fan to sit down and watch the Opening Game of the World Series, and right there in the first inning, Jose Reyes squibs one down the third base line, and stand at home plate as he watches himself get thrown out at first????!!!
Don't get me wrong, he is terribly exciting to watch, but if he doesn't get himself a work ethic, his flame may burn out real quick at the Major League level.
