D. C. MarkelI've never seen or heard of this film, but it's called "Headin' Home" filmed in 1920 featuring Babe Ruth. It's on Turner Movie Classics at midnight Eastern Time (11:00 pm central, 9:00 pm pacific). I plan to record it on my DVR.
Also, "Safe At Home" featuring Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris is on at 10:00 pm eastern.
After the Ruth movie there is another silent film entitled "His Last Game" (1909) where a Native American baseball player resists gamblers' demands that he throw a game and finally another called "The Ball Player and the Bandit", filmed in (1912).
