Gilbert MainesBoth of them have a history of being unwilling to change when faced with a similar collectible: our earliest cents and half cents. These were manufactured under comparitively crude technology. Before electricity and during a time when each die was hand engraved. This coupled with an inconsistent supply of copper yielded a collectible which demands insightful criteria be established and employed.
Their unwillingness to modify their techniques has resulted in them being ignored by the majority of the collectors in this area of numismatic specialization. I forcast the same occuring with OJs and similar issues.
