Well, baseball is a streaky game. A lot of hitters have some incredible streaks - of varying length. A-Rod has shown he can be a great hitter. He has had some monster years at the plate. But, one question remains for me: "Why can't A-Rod make his team better?"

When he signed that monster contract with the Rangers he followed up with some great stats at the plate - but his team was a loser. Now he's on a tear again - and the Yankees are losing. Albert Pujols make the Cards a lot better team - he helps them win. Ryan Howard made the Phillies a better team last year. I could go on with a lot of examples. But A-Rod does not make for a better team. Why is that???
